Message from CEO
We, LIC Co., Ltd., were established in April 1999 through the merger of three interior product wholesale companies. Tracing back to our predecessors, we carry a history of more than 140 years. Our origins began with the sales of textiles, carpets, and imported interior decorative products, and we have continued to grow alongside the evolution of the interior business industry. Throughout this long history, we have continuously transformed and evolved in response to the changing times.
Today, we have further expanded our business fields to include housing equipment and building materials, positioning ourselves as a comprehensive trading company for interior products, housing equipment, and building materials. Guided by our mission, “Enriching people’s lives and hearts through inspiring space creation,” we strive to deliver greater value to society. At the same time, we place importance on the values shared by all employees and continue challenging ourselves to “create new value through the power of connection and innovation,” while growing together with our customers and business partners.
Japanese society has undergone significant changes since the post-war period of rapid economic growth. As living standards improved, the quality and influence of living spaces on people’s lives evolved dramatically. After entering a mature stage, Japan is now facing a declining birthrate, an aging population, and a serious population decrease, bringing about major shifts in lifestyles and values. Responding to these changing needs for comfort and prosperity, and providing living spaces suited to each era, remains one of our most important responsibilities.
Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our supply chain function that connects suppliers and customers, while fully leveraging our nationwide capabilities in information gathering and dissemination. Through these efforts, we remain committed to fulfilling our mission and creating greater value for the future.
